I was doing some repair work on my house when my ladder slipped at the base away from my house causing me to fall 16 ft breaking both wrist and shattering my left knee cap in five pieces. This injury immobilized me from walking, writing and work and not to mention the ability to play with my children and help my wife with the daily activities associated with family life. I write this message because I believe that others have been hurt by this ladder design, but more importantly is the simplicity of the Internet for gaining information regarding other incidents so I can be in contact with others that may have been injured through negligent or poor design and engineering.
